Toronto Community Housing Corporation

Scope & Devices: Installed conduit, cabling, devicing, programming, and testing for 53 new RBH access doors, 46 Axis cameras, and 10 Mircom dialer entryphones.

Key Achievement: Completed a notable project in 4 weeks despite challenges like inclement weather and vandalism.

Outcome: Installed systems allow the head office to centrally monitor and administer sites, ensuring tenant safety.

Scope: Installed cabling, devicing, programming, and testing for 100+ cameras.

Key Challenge: Much of the work had to be completed after hours due to other trades working in the same area.

Duration: The total project proposal covered over 3 years.

Our History & Evolution
X-Cell Services & Communications Ltd. (X-Cell) was established in Ontario in 2004. We began by providing essential intrusion and security services to local businesses and retail chains.

Motivated by the fast-paced changes in market demands and the rapid evolution of technology, X-Cell proactively re-strategized our approach. This led us to diversify the skillsets of our technical team through significant investment in training on advanced software and hardware.

Today, our team is highly certified and proficient in a multitude of access control, camera, and intrusion systems, allowing us to manage projects ranging from small retail installations to complete community-wide deployments. We're positioned to compete with any player in the market by constantly developing our breadth of expertise.

Our Process

This shows clients the standard, systematic approach X-Cell takes.

Kick-Off Meeting: Meet with client personnel to review and provide all required contractual documentation.

Collect & Collaborate (Audit/Verification): Conduct preliminary audits of all intrusion and access control devices. Confirm client specifications for cameras (IP scheme, naming) and collect system info (programming codes, call lists).

Cabling Infrastructure: Plan cabling paths for new systems, often running new cabling while the old system is still operational to minimize downtime and ensure a seamless transition.

Pre-programming and Bench-testing: Pre-program and test all cameras, VMS/access control panels, and integrated software using client's existing credentials.

Takeover Process & Verification: Perform the takeover in stages, starting with access control followed by intrusion. Installers are in the field replacing readers while a technician works at the head end.
